Individual and Individualism....

I am an individual and i love and respect the individuality.
While reading "Atlas Shrugged" and "Fountainhead" , both of which propounds, Ayn Rand's thought provoking radical theory of "Objectivism" which is in direct contrast to Spiritual theory of Hindu Mythology, I was bound to think about the matter in hand quite profoundly.
I dont know sometimes, somehow i think we all pretend at one point or the other that we are happy, we are our usual self only for the sake of others. This may be becuase of our sub-conscious mind's conscious effort. We seek the moments of happiness with whom we are not even comfortable with. Consider a scenario where all your so called frds are suppose to meet for something and you have not reached on time then what matters to you, does it matter that you got call from each one or the only thing which matters is to get a call from, to whom you consider your frd. To me only thing which matters is whether i got a call from my frd or not. It doesnt matter to me whether anybody else has called or not.
After leaving college I have learnt a good lesson to not to expect anything from anybody except yourself. Less Expectations less heart burns.
To a certain extent the theories of Ayn Rand hold true till the focus point remains on self- development, to achieve the things you desire in life. When she delves in the territory of war between weaker and stronger section i think she looses the focus.
Though the idea which i have bought from the book is you should strive for the dreams and should work diligently for the same and you will enocunter the unreasonable persons and their highly irrational behaviour paving your path. Their intentoin to take a ride on your achievements, their predilection is not to understand the matter and complicate it unncessarily for you to get success.
The point which striked me the most "Nobody can live here by faking the reality" and its like hammering on the very idea of faith and spiritualism.
As confused i am already, though i am not an evangelist of individualism, I would say everybody has all the rights to think about him/her the first.

"Nobody can live here by faking the reality"
Is anyone sure of the reality here? Everyone have their own version of what reality is.

You never know

Nice writing dude...Moreover I myself is an avid believer or individualism. You touched upon something that is core to my heart and something that I believe. "Being secular is the only way to attain spiritual ecstasy".
